JPMorgan Chase Product Owner, Alternative Data Consumption - Associate in Jersey City, New Jersey
A critical priority for Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) is to ensure that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our clients' needs. The AWM Chief Data Office (CDO) is part of the AWM Chief Operating Office and is responsible for defining core data strategies. In partnership with business and technology stakeholders, they hold a key role in transforming AMW into a data driven organization that leverages analytic tools, AI/ML models, and comprehensive core data sets to drive decision making, product innovation, and valuable insights for our clients.
As the Associate Product Owner for our Alternative Data Consumption team, you will manage the prioritization and strategy for Falcon, which ingests analytical, valuation, performance and positional data from our Alternative fund administrators for distribution to internal consumers.
Job responsibilities:
Understanding the Alternative business strategy and business priorities and how that would impact Falcon.
Assist in defining the strategy for the Falcon product.
Develop, own and maintain the product backlog to enable product development to support the overall alternative strategic roadmap.
Ensuring Falcon adheres to our internal data governance frame works (data quality/retention/lineage/dictionary etc.).
Initiate and lead product working groups/cabinet in collaboration with technology and business to ensure the backlog is transparent and prioritized per the business needs.
Collaborate with internal consumers to gather requirements and priority.
Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team.
Develop and manage key metrics and reporting, KPIs, status, etc.; maintain Confluence site with appropriate information.
Closely partner with external service providers (Fund Administrators) to ensure our requirements are understood, prioritized and delivered on time, and that existing data feeds are meeting out SLA's.
Maintain fund mappings, fund administrator and internal contacts.
Monitor product performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
5 years of experience in product management or a related role (preferably in asset management).
Adept at stakeholder management with demonstrated ability to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders, and prioritize effectively.
Strong understanding of data systems and data management principles.
Self-starter that takes initiative and has demonstrated effectiveness working independently.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, structured approach to planning and project execution.
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA).
Experience working with fund administrators and financial data.
Experience of the alternatives business within the Asset Management sector.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
