JPMorgan Chase Embedded Banking and Solutions Business Manager - Vice President in Jersey City, New Jersey

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced individual to join the Finance and Business Management organization as a Business Management Vice President supporting a part of the Embedded Banking & Solutions (EB&S) business within Payments.

Business Management optimizes business performances by helping to drive key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business.

You will be a key partner to the business management team and senior leaders in the EB&S organization. You will bring a strong understanding of sales and financial operations and an ability to drive strategic dialogue across the organization, inform decision-making, proactively solve problems, and provide analytical insight and business judgment in support of strategic and tactical initiatives. This is a time-pressured and high-profile position which is instrumental in assisting/advising senior management and in coordinating the deployment of the bank's corporate resources to address strategic and tactical objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Supports Business Management team and the LOB stakeholders on strategic initiatives and ad-hoc projects

  • Leverages operational experience, data and analytical insights to define overall performance objectives and assist with the development and execution of business and financial plans

  • Collaborates across finance and business management (F&BM) and other functional areas to understand and communicate results, execute strategic initiatives, and monitor outcomes

  • Works closely with Controls and Compliance partners to execute the Controls framework

  • Works closely with the financial planning and analytics function to assess business performance, define drivers of outcomes, document areas of opportunity, and execution plans to drive change

Require qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in strategy, financial planning, business management, or sales operations; Financial Services experience is preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area

  • Previous controls knowledge/experience and/or prior Business Management or COO experience

  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills and ability to work with a high degree of independence

  • Able to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions

  • Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail

  • Able to both define and deliver to conclusion a strategic agenda across multiple groups

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
