We are seeking individuals at the Senior Consultant level to join our Infrastructure & Capital Projects practice. Candidates should have the ability to listen to, understand, and incorporate client needs and objectives into work plans and to execute the work. Our goal is to provide a variety of experiences that will allow you to learn and understand our practice. Senior Consultants will be staffed on engagements where they will have the opportunity to provide an array of enterprise and project specific Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) services across various industries. The ideal candidate will have the ability to listen to, critically think, understand, and incorporate client needs and objectives into work plans and to execute the work. The role requires in depth knowledge of EHS frameworks, programs, and controls to assist clients in planning, managing and mitigating EHS risks through various operations.
Work you'll do
As a Senior Consultant within our practice, you will:
Help clients make corporate and project-level Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management decisions that strategically align with our organizational objectives
Structure corporate and project-level EHS frameworks to reduce environmental and safety impacts and make use of new technologies to improve EHS processes and controls
Gain exposure to other Deloitte practices through cross-functional opportunities
Assist external audit teams in testing clients' environmental liabilities budgets and compliance to local, state, and federal regulations

These services are delivered across the five primary phases of the capital asset lifecycle (Strategy & Planning, Procurement, Execution & Construction, Operations & Maintenance, and Disposal) and include assessments to capital efficiency, governance structure and process design, contractual compliance, risk management, claims management, and project controls and analytics
Key requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (environmental, safety, mechanical, electrical, industrial, or civil engineering preferred), environmental sciences, safety (occupational, process, or industrial hygiene), or construction management
4+ years of engineering/ environmental/ safety/ construction related experience
Experience with the analysis of EHS performance and operational data using industry-based techniques and software applications such as Enablon, Cority, Intelex, Sphera, etc.
Ability to participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
Experience in client proposal development
Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Proficiency in research and critical thinking abilities and tools
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
Must be flexible with the potential travel requirements of client service engagements
Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or any time in the future
Preferred:
Master's degree in engineering (environmental, safety, mechanical, electrical, industrial, or civil engineering preferred), environmental sciences, safety (occupational, process, or industrial hygiene), construction management, or MBA
At least one of the following certifications: PE, ASA, PMP, CFA, CFE, CCE or CPA
Experience in a professional services firm
Experience with EHS frameworks such as ISO 14001 and COSO Enterprise Risk Management
International engagement experience
Multi-lingual

This compensation range is specific to New York State and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,750 - $188,375.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
