The warehouse manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a warehouse operation, including receiving goods, storing inventory, managing staff, ensuring accurate stock levels, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining safety standards, all while aiming to optimize efficiency and timely deliveries within the warehouse facility.
Maintain accurate inventory records, tracking stock levels, and implementing strategies to minimize stock discrepancies. Oversee the receiving process, monitoring incoming shipments for accuracy, and coordinating the dispatch of outgoing orders.
Supervising and mentoring warehouse staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring proper training on safety procedures and warehouse management systems.
Organizing warehouse layout, utilizing storage space efficiently, and managing stock rotation to prevent damage and FIFO .
Enforcing safety regulations, conducting safety inspections, and addressing potential hazards within the warehouse
Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) like productivity, accuracy, and delivery times to identify areas for improvement. Utilizing ERP and Shipping system to monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and generate reports.
Managing warehouse expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and adhering to budget constraints.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
3-5 years of major professional accomplishments, including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope and complexity. Previous P&L ownership experience preferred.
Sufficient experience and background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resources management, inventory control and strategic planning.
Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results by meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Involved with or lead a team in LEAN process improvements/implementation preferred
