Linear Automation Senior Service Technician in Jeffersontown, Kentucky
Trouble shoot and service press transfer automation, blank feed systems and press to press automation equipment. Lead and assist in installations of equipment - Mechanical and electrical installation. Commission equipment for start up in-house and at customer facility. Train Junior and other staff on all aspects of business including installations, commissioning, maintenance and operations of all platforms of equipment. Train customers in operations and customer level maintenance on equipment. Will be part of 24/7 on call rotation for customer support. Create clear documentation regarding all aspects of equipment including work instructions, manuals and field reports. Oversee other staff and third-party contractors. Responsible for completing projects while adhering to all relevant industry codes and OSHA safety rules. Create customer and in house presentations and training material.Travel to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. 1 - 2 times a week to MI, OH, KY, TN, AL, FL MS, CA, TX; International travel 2 - 4 times a year.Requirements: 10 years experience building, commissioning and servicing press transfer automation, blank feed systems and press to press automation.Experience on press transfer automation, blank feed systems and press to press automation must include:Mechanical machine building/troubleshooting and repair. Assemble and repair complex equipment from engineering drawings.Electrical panel build/troubleshooting and repair experience.Build and troubleshoot complex automation control panels. Experience with legacy platforms such as Allen Bradley, Bosch Rexroth, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Omron.Operate various industrial equipment such as fork trucks, twin lifts, ariel platforms, overhead and mobile cranes.
