Shift: 2nd or 3rd | Pay: $31.50 per hour As a key member of the maintenance team, you will utilize your problem-solving and technical skills to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of mechanical equipment, from basic to advanced systems. This role requires a multi-craft background and a strong understanding of industrial and heavy equipment repair. You will also have the opportunity to apply electrical and PLC manufacturing experience in a dynamic work environment. Responsibilities: Perform mechanical repairs on steel pickling, slitting production lines, and other machinery as requested. Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues across all assigned equipment. Complete welding and fabrication tasks with minimal direction (MIG, Stick). Enter accurate data into the maintenance system in a timely manner. Perform basic electrical tasks to ensure safe maintenance practices. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout, fall protection, and PPE. Assist in other duties as assigned to support overall team efficiency. Desired Experience: Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems for effective repair and troubleshooting. Basic welding and cutting skills (MIG/Stick preferred). Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints. Experience working with electrical systems and troubleshooting. 3-5 years of manufacturing or heavy equipment maintenance experience preferred. Basic computer and data entry skills with the ability to learn and apply new technology. Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and related systems. Ability to perform basic measurements and use tools such as meters for diagnostic purposes. Must be comfortable with physical demands, including walking, bending, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and working in variable temperature environments.
