Staff Vice President of IT ( Enterprise Testing Management Office (ETMO)) will lead and oversee testing functions across IT and Centene Corporation. This leadership role is critical in ensuring the stability, quality, and performance of IT systems through comprehensive testing strategies. The Staff VP will define and implement enterprise-wide testing standards, frameworks, and methodologies, driving excellence in quality assurance, system validation, and regulatory compliance in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
The Staff VP will define enterprise-wide testing frameworks, foster collaboration across teams, and champion innovation to drive continuous improvement. The role requires a strong mix of leadership, technical expertise, strategic vision, and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement a comprehensive enterprise testing strategy aligned with business goals, IT objectives, and healthcare regulatory standards.
Develop and manage budgets, resource plans, and project priorities to meet organizational goals effectively.
Establish and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of testing initiatives and overall system quality.
Oversee end-to-end testing for IT systems across platforms, including web, mobile, backend, and healthcare-specific applications (e.g., claims processing, member portals).
Champion the adoption of automation and modern testing tools to reduce manual efforts, enhance efficiency, and accelerate release cycles.
Collaborate with DevOps, and Agile teams to integrate testing pipelines for faster and more reliable deployments.
Identify and implement emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning, to enhance testing capabilities and detect vulnerabilities proactively.
Ensure testing frameworks are scalable and adaptable to support future growth, technology advancements, and regulatory changes.
Act as a trusted advisor and primary liaison between IT and business leaders, translating technical testing needs into measurable business outcomes.
Regularly present testing metrics, risk assessments, and insights to executive leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring tools and external resources align with the organization’s testing goals.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience. 10+ years of diverse IT experience. Previous experience managing staff, including hiring, training, managing workload and performance.Pay Range: $178,500.00 - $338,800.00 per year
