CymSTAR LLC Lead Instructional Developer-Lackland in JBSA San Antonio, Texas
SUMMARY:
The Lead Instructional Developer will develop training materials using the Instructional System Development (ISD) process guidelines and for the maintenance of the existing training programs materials and courseware for the C-5 Pilot, Flight Engineer and Loadmaster courses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
• Collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Expert/s (SME) to conduct needs/audience analysis, develop training objectives and course/product outline, design course/product content, and assessment items. This includes compiling and organizing information, and writing and editing instructional materials to adapt classroom-based courseware and products, reference documents, and raw materials into clear, effective, interactive eLearning training.
• Serve multiple stakeholders at all levels, prioritize requests and negotiate deadlines. Formally present ideas and deliverables, raise appropriate questions to clarify/prioritize issues and bring them to resolution.
• Develop online tutorials, instructor-led training materials, and training support aids, selecting the most effective format to meet targeted learning and performance objectives.
• Conduct ongoing management and maintenance of all courseware. Revise and improve existing learning products and programs based on facilitator and participant feedback, and on business and industry changes.
• Be flexible and adapt quickly and easily to changing requirements and needs as the Learning Content Management System (LMS) service model continues to evolve.
• Manage projects through start-to-finish, manage multiple projects simultaneously, complete follow-up actions in a timely manner, and meet targeted deadlines.
• Create project plans, storyboards, design documents, scripts, course outlines, and assessment tools.
• Use multimedia authoring tools with minimal support to design online solutions

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 4 years as an Educational Technology or Instructional Designer or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some experience shooting short videos, and experience with post-production software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Ae is a plus. Familiarity with marketing and advertising industries. Proven expertise serving as instructional designer of eLearning courses or projects that demonstrate sound instructional principles, strategies and techniques and are SCORM and Section 508 compliant. Possess a strong background in USAF Instructional System Development (ISD) principles.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional literature. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, and colleagues. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematical skills.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Solid technology skills are required, including a deep understanding of multiple database technologies, enterprise systems integration, and software evaluation techniques. Experienced and highly proficient in the use of standard Personal Computer productivity software tools including word processors, spreadsheets, presentation graphics, project management, and databases.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ability to translate differing and possibly conflicting customer needs and preferences into design requirements is essential as well as the ability to reverse engineer business processes and tools. The ability to analyze, identify and solve a variety of problems is critical.
CITIZENSHIP:
U.S. Citizenship. Must be able to obtain a Secret Level Clearance
