Description We are hiring for the role of a Sr. Accountant located in JANESVILLE, Wisconsin, 53547-0391, United States. The selected candidate will be responsible for various accounting activities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity and requires strong accounting skills, including Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger management, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, Month-end Close Activities, Annual Close Processes, and Tax Preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing responsibilities.

• Provide support during annual audits and tax return preparations.

• Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Play a key role in budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Execute account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation tasks.

• Handle bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.

• Prepare and post journal entries as needed.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions.

• Operate NetSuite and Oracle for financial management.

• Oversee month-end close activities and annual close processes. Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field

• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role within the accounting department

• Excellent understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office products

• Experience with accounting software, specifically NetSuite and Oracle

• Demonstrable experience with account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation

• Ability to perform bank reconciliations and general ledger operations

• Solid knowledge of journal entries preparation and month-end close activities

• Experience with annual close processes and tax preparation

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• CPA or other relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory
