JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview The RN Data Analyst Lead is responsible for oversight of data collected and reported in the department as defined by quality measure initiatives. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing and coordinating medical information and ensuring that established specifications or definitions are met. This includes working with other departments to develop, validate and automate reporting as well as creating visual data display of quality information. The position is a liaison to direct patient care providers to ensure appropriate and timely care is provided and documented to meet external requirements. The Lead supervises the operations of the data analyst staff and ensures processes for appropriate data management and data integrity. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reviews and maintains advanced knowledge of established measure criteria for data abstraction and understands how individual data elements relate to measures and outcomes Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of data Demonstrates reliability of data definitions and participates in data validation and inter-rater reliability testing Participates in performance improvement activities Uses advanced knowledge of software systems, databases and statistical process to coordinate, maintain and provide meaningful information to physician leadership, management and teams to evaluate clinical practice, process and outcomes.
