Responsibilities:

• Interacts effectively with patients and colleagues, demonstrating care, respect, and dignity in all communications.

• Works collaboratively within and across departments to enhance patient care and streamline processes.

• Clearly communicates instructions and procedures to patients to ease their concerns and ensure cooperation.

• Accurately codes and tracks exams through the RIS system, ensuring all images are archived and interpreted via ISITE.

• Manages the receipt, usage, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals, maintaining precise records.

• Utilizes two patient identifiers and follows universal protocols for procedures, reviewing patient history and physician orders to ensure compliance with departmental protocols.

• Calculates and records patient doses according to departmental and Radiation Safety Guidelines.

• Conducts nuclear medicine exams with proficiency, producing high-quality and accurate results.

• Performs quality control checks on imaging and non-imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program or candidate meets NMTCB alternate eligibility criteria.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

ARRT(N) or CNMT registry or registry eligible Must obtain registry within 12 months of hire CPR or BLS RequiredCPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

• ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC)

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
