Workshop Facilitator - Jamaica, NYDescription & RequirementsMaximus is hiring a dynamic Workshop Facilitator based out of our office in Jamaica, NY! In this role, you’ll help clients secure employment by building strong relationships and guiding them through job searches. You will manage a caseload, facilitate engaging workshops, and ensure clients are well-prepared for interviews and job opportunities.The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish and has experience in a work environment meeting metrics. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Present, train, and coach program participants on employment skills, resume writing, interview preparation, career exploration, life and soft skills, communication skills, etc.- Prepare materials for training sessions and present training programs in a clear and concise manner.- May select or develop teaching aids such as handbooks, models, visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference materials to support curriculum design.- Track attendance in training sessions and notify appropriate staff of non-attendance when applicable.- Make logistical arrangements for training sessions, including training facilities, course materials and audio-visual equipment.- Assist in writing and evaluation of training aides.- Continually monitor and assess participant progress throughout the learning process and adjust as needed to ensure knowledge transfer and applied understanding.- Perform other duties as may be assigned by leadership.- Utilize the Self-Sufficiency Employment and Assessment Management System to track participant progress, manage case documentation, and generate reports for ongoing evaluation and program improvement.This position is hybrid and will require a quiet workspace in your home for remote work.Home office requirements: - Reliable high-speed internet service - Minimum 20 Mpbs download speeds/50 Mpbs for shared internet connectivity- Minimum 5 Mpbs upload speeds- Reliable high-speed internet service(you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net)Minimum Requirements- High school diploma or GED required and 0-2 years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Located in or near Jamaica, NY. - Can commit to a hybrid work setting - Has a dedicated quiet room for remote work - Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in Spanish, preferred.- Experience working in a metric-based environment, preferred.EEO StatementActive military service members, their spouses, and veteran candidates often embody the core competencies Maximus deems essential, and bring a resiliency and dependability that greatly enhances our workforce.
