Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Property Accountant in the property management industry, based in Jamaica, New York. The role involves working on residential property accounting, particularly in apartment complexes. This role will require the utilization of accounting software systems and proficiency in various accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize YARDI for residential property accounting tasks.

• Handle accounting functions related to both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Conduct regular auditing to ensure accuracy in all accounting tasks.

• Implement Account Coding accurately in all relevant tasks.

• Use ADP - Financial Services for related accounting tasks.

• Manage and process customer credit applications with precision.

• Maintain and monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required.

• Perform Accrual Accounting tasks as part of the role.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records consistently. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is required

• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Must have experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Demonstrated ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Must have a solid understanding of Accrual Accounting

• Prior experience in Auditing is desirable
