Technology Business Partner

We’re hiring! We are looking for a Technology Business Partner to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from the office. This role will report directly into the Head of Technology for APAC.

The role of Technology Business Partner is to serve as a “trusted advisor,” and is the primary IT point of contact to business line managers and leaders, operating as the key business contact representing technology in promoting IT services and capabilities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Be part of the Solutions Line’s critical thinking, representing technology on applicable Committees, SteerCo’s and other decision-making meetings.

  • Build and maintain relationships between business collaborators in country and the broader Aon Technology organization – representing Technology to the business and within the APAC technology organisation

  • Drive business engagement around key APAC business technology program of work for the region.

  • Understand the Solution Line’s background, structure and priorities and ensuring service quality are delivered meeting their needs.

  • Promote adoption of Global Platforms and provide feedback to Platform teams for improvements for local requirements.

  • Promote Aon Secure program, ensure compliance with local data security and privacy regulations in coherence with Aon internal standard

  • Qualifying Client and Colleague Demand

  • Develop and lead direct relationships with key local collaborators, regional /global product owners and subject matter expert.

  • Collaborating with business partners to develop business cases for business opportunities.

  • Build relationships with key partners to understand opportunities from a digital perspective across the value chain.

  • Keep up to date with the latest regulatory and compliance requirements and work with GSS to ensure country is compliant and proactive at running all key technology-based risks.

  • Reviewing business requirements, leading early discussions with both internal and external collaborators to ensure they are of sufficient quality to pass onto the product teams.

Delivery of technology components of local initiatives

  • Work with regional Value Enablement Office teams to run the country portfolio of projects within the regional framework.

  • Work with Project Managers to ensure projects have appropriate governance and resourcing in place.

  • Work with Technology managers and leaders to handle issues and risks as they come up within the country portfolio of projects.

  • Provide regular status updates to key partners on initiatives progress.

  • Lead technology integration relating to any merger and acquisitions.

Helping drive Adoption of business platforms and technology tools

  • Help promote and drive adoption of the business platforms and technology tools to deliver maximum client and colleague benefit.

  • Support in designing and delivering technology solutions that align with global standard processes.

  • Track usage KPI’s and provide status updates to key partners

  • Help inspire change management as new solutions or updates are implemented

Service Management

  • Point of escalation for IT service related issues relating to colleagues in the country operations

  • Review service metrics’ that relate to the country operation and provide updates to relevant partners

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required..

  • At least 15+ years of experience in IT/business alignment roles, such as IT Business Partner, Senior IT Leader, or a related position.

  • Experience in delivering technology projects and working with cross-functional teams globally is essential

  • Experience in IT risk management & compliance work, good understanding of relevant regulations and security standards.

  • Experience in delivery of technology projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet business requirements, timelines, and budgets.

Skills:

  • Able to engage with senior business leadership to provide insights and recommendations on technology solutions, opportunities, and challenges.

  • Able to serve as the primary liaison between IT and business solutions line, fostering strong working relationships.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key collaborators, including business leaders, colleagues, and technology product owners and subject matter experts.

  • Drive business engagement around key APAC business technology programs and initiatives

  • Ensure service quality is delivered to meet the needs of the business
