Position Summary

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of application development include creating, coding, debugging, optimizing and maintaining both front end and backend components as well as providing solutions to data integration problems. Our Lead Software Engineers have extensive experience in building enterprise web applications using, Frameworks, Postgres, DynamoDB, SQL Server, React/js and related technologies along with strong systems knowledge. The ideal candidate will have experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum with a strong focus on automation. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, strong technical and problem-solving skills are essential aspects of this role. In addition to your technical role, you will be responsible for mentoring other developers in the form of code reviews and setting up/enforcing development standards.

Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

• Experience managing and coordinating scrums and code reviews with global teams

• Experience in software development and coding in various languages (C#)

• Excellent knowledge of software and application design and multi-tier architecture (Plan, Design, Implement, Test, Deploy)

• Experience with .NET Core, ASP .NET Core, C#, Web API and relational / SQL/ NoSQL database engines

• Experience with Angular 4 and above.• Working Knowledge of prevailing DevOps strategies

• Understanding of software quality assurance principles

• High quality organizational and leadership skills

• Working experience with relevant operating system environments: Microsoft Windows and or Linux/Unix

• Contribute to building high quality products for the managed services team

• Design, develop and deploy applications and products with high quality

• Drive Technical discussions and design with product owners and the team

• Translate action items and outcomes with the development team

• Coordinate with global teams for product releases

• Release & Build documentation

• Participate with inputs to managed services IP strategy based on real time scenarios from products and projects being executed

• Identify opportunities to optimize current solutions and perform technical analysis and/or provide hands on technical support, on an as needed basis, to troubleshoot problems related to poorly performing systems in production and other test environments.

• Mentor team members to support various applications across multiple countries

• Partner with Platform Engineering teams, Architects, and other teams in validating installation packages, installation guides, developing build specifications and performance tuning areas including leveraging tools and technologies to automate day to day job execution process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience is required.

  • 8+ years of industry experience as a professional software developer building multi-tier, scalable, enterprise level products required.

  • 5+ years as a lead engineer with both onshore and offshore team members

  • Experience in design and development of microservices/webservices.

  • Result driven, hands-on technical expert with the ability to consult with leadership

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and environments while being able to see and present the big picture.

  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills, time management and organizational skills

  • Hands-on, technical subject matter expert with the propose, present and influence architectural design ideas to executives and technical management and work with product owners, developers, architects and technical management.
