Summary:

Responsible for assisting in the processing of payroll, as well as maintaining accurate human resources/payroll records to ensure that accurate and timely compensation is paid to all employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Compile payroll data such as hours worked, commissions, and other payroll input to be uploaded (via EIB) into Workday

  • Review payroll retroactive and leave results as needed to ensure payroll accuracy

  • Assist in resolving employee garnishment and payroll tax inquiries

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer any employee payroll inquiries

  • Support payroll process by ensuring that timesheets are submitted and approved timely

  • Create and run reports to provide accurate auditing of payroll, time tracking, and absence

  • Create weekly prevailing wage reports

  • Assist in HRIS (Workday) update testing

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

2 years related payroll experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, regulations etc. Ability to speak and write routine reports and correspondence.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge MS Excel and Outlook. Experience with web-based payroll system required, Workday experience strongly preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:

C.P.P. preferred; No certifications required
