Job Title: Staff Accountant
Hello! Our client is in need of a staff accountant to join their team. This position will work very closely with the CFO, focused on month-end closing, reconciliations, journal entries, and assisting with financial statement preparation and analysis.

Job Description
Work with the CFO on the preparation, maintenance, and reforecasts of the annual operating budget.
Provide budget reports to management and assist in interpreting the results.
Refine the budgeting methodology and look for tools to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the process.
Develop necessary business statements such as income statements, balance statements, and cash flow statements.
Responsible for weekly reconciliation of program fees at all locations. Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations.
Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document variance explanations to determine progress versus financial targets.
Participate in financial planning, policies, procedures, and practices.
Contribute to the monitoring of financial performance, conduct organization-wide performance improvement activities, and maintain reasonable and appropriate financial plans and forecasts.
Aid CFO on expense management, productivity, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and capital planning.
Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards, and assist with cash flow management. Assist in the documentation of the organization's financial status and forecasts.
Requirements
Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of general ledger accounting experience
Highly analytical mindset
High attention to detail
Highly proficient in Excel
