Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our Hi-Tech Engineering team based in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes, from preparing financial statements to maintaining the general ledger, implementing internal controls, and forecasting cash flows.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.

• Perform various types of reconciliations, including general ledger accounts, bank reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations.

• Analyze financial data, pinpoint discrepancies, and report on variances between actual and budgeted figures.

• Oversee and participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely reporting.

• Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring proper classification, balance, and support.

• Assist with internal and external audits, prepare audit schedules, and respond to auditor inquiries.

• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare or assist with the preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Supervise entry level accountants or accounting clerks, provide training, and review their work for accuracy.

• Identify areas for process improvements in accounting workflows and implement more efficient practices.

• Manage and forecast cash flows to ensure the company has adequate liquidity to meet its financial obligations.

• Communicate with banks or financial institutions regarding cash management.

• Conduct special financial analysis as required, such as cost-benefit analysis, margin analysis, or capital expenditure evaluations.

• Prepare reports for senior management to help guide business decisions.

• Use accounting software and ERP systems to track financial transactions and generate reports.

• Leverage tools to automate manual tasks, improving efficiency in financial reporting, data entry, and reconciliation. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the High Tech Engineering industry is required.

• Accreditation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is necessary.

• Proficiency in Monthly Financial Reporting is a must.

• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation is crucial.

• Demonstrable knowledge of General Ledger management is needed.

• Familiarity with Intercompany Transaction and Intercompany Accounting is important.

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation is required.

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations is essential.

• Ability to handle Month End Close and Year End Closings is needed.

• Proven skills in Cash Flow Analysis and Cash Flow Reports are important.

• Proficiency in using a popular Accounting software is a must.
