job summary:

What you will do:

• Lead and oversee migration projects, collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements

• Analyze existing software systems and applications to identify migration requirements and potential challenges

• Develop migration plans and strategies: outline timelines, resources, and necessary tools and technologies

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement migration plans, ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations

• Ensure data integrity and security during the migration process, implement necessary safeguards and controls

• Conduct thorough testing and verification of migrated systems; resolve any issues or errors that may arise

• Document and maintain accurate records of migration processes and procedures; ensure compliance with internal and external regulations

• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders during and after the migration process

What you will need to have:

• 6-10 years of experience in software development: design, develop, test

• 4+ years of experience with databases and data migration techniques

• 2+ years of experience with Golang development

• 2+ years of experience with successful management and execution of large-scale software migrations in production environments

• 2+ years of experience with database tools such as Flyway and Liquibase

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

• Proactive approach to identify and resolve issues

• Experience in prioritization and management of multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines

• Experience with performance and load testing databases

responsibilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar focus

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering / development experience working in a JVM language such as Go lang (preferred).

• Advanced experience building Linux driven software; able to navigate seamlessly from a CLI.

• Advanced understanding of OOP and Modern software engineering principles such as SOLID and Clean Code

• Dedication to writing idiomatic / conventional code in a collaborative and independent setting, without an ego or pretense

• Advanced to expert level experience writing complex, performant SQL

• Professional experience building cloud native architecture in at least one of the top three public cloud platforms (we produce on all three ;)
