Job Title: Welder Assembler
Job Description
Welders will be responsible for the construction of safe rooms. They will primarily perform MIG welding and eventually some TIG welding. The construction of these rooms will require building wall panels, welding, putting up drywall, painting, and using hand and power tools to measure and cut various materials. Approximately 50% of the time will be spent welding, with the other 50% spent on various tasks within the shop, initially focusing on panel building. The role involves working in teams of 4-6 to construct the rooms, and while employees will work off of drawings, they will be taught how to read them. It is crucial to know how to read a tape measure down to the 16th.

TIG welding (plus)
Experience in construction, assembly, fabrication, or shop settings
Knowledge of drywall and construction
Ability to use chop saw, bandsaw, and shear (plus)
Comfortable reading tape measure and square, cutting product to size

Work Environment
The work environment is a smaller, open-air shop where employees work in teams. The workforce is very diverse. Employees must be able to travel approximately three times a year, with each trip lasting around two weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
