Job Title: Material Control Specialist

Job Description

The Material Control Specialist will work in the Shipping/Receiving department of a heavy industrial facility. Responsibilities include receiving all metal and related parts for assembly, performing cycle counts, and staging products through production. The specialist will occasionally operate a sit-down forklift, but 90% of the time will be spent on their feet, lifting and loading 50-75 pounds and handling materials throughout the day. The role may require the use of a table grinder to smooth metals for production, followed by packaging, wrapping, and labeling products for shipment.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Jacksonville, Florida.

Work Environment

This is a large, open bay production facility with multiple work stations and bays. The production floor is NOT climate controlled. Industrial-sized ceiling fans keep the air moving, but the area is not air-conditioned. Forklift and manufacturing machinery are present, and contractors will wear safety shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs as needed.
