Aerotek Journeyman Electrician in Jacksonville, Florida

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Electrical Team for construction projects based in Kings Bay, Georgia.

  • This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes.

  • Work involves technical application of electrical principles.

  • This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices.

Compensation is based on on specific project location AND WILL FOLLOW DAVIS BACON PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS, WHICH VARY FROM MILITARY BASE TO MILITARY BASE. The hourly range is approximately $28.00ph + 1.34 + 10.58 fringe = $39.92, eligible for overtime. Pay $39.92, Prevailing Wage

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position. Should be supplemented by completion of a Union, private (in-house), military, or trade school apprenticeship program that includes theory and on-the-job work.

  • Four or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level wireman in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting is required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.

  • o Communication Tela/Comm installation

  • o Deep underground experience

  • o Conductor Installation experience

  • o Start-up and energizing procedures of equipment

  • o Fire alarm system/Security system installation

  • Valid electrician's license or journeyman card is preferred.

  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications required; Specific training or certificates in the following preferred:

  • o Trenching and shoring training

  • o Fall protection training

  • o Confined space training

  • o Forklift/Manlift training and certificate

  • o Power actuated tools training and certificate

  • o Lockout/Tagout training

  • o Hot work training

  • o Scissor lift/boom lift certificate

  • o EM-385

  • Ability to provide the necessary tools, including, but not limited to knife, pliers/linemen, screwdrivers, nut drivers, key hole saw, hacksaw, hammer, level (small 12"), channel locks 2, needle nose pliers/long nose pliers, voltage meter/tester, tool pouch/belt for electrical, diagonal pliers, Allen wrenches/stranded/metric, taps (6/32, 8/32, 10/24), wire stripers, socket set, tape measure (at least 25 ft.), side cutters, flashlight, cordless drill/impact drill, wrench set, crescent wrench.
