Randstad is looking for a heavy-duty equipment mechanic for a company on Jacksonville's Southside. You will work is completed in a safe, professional, and timely manner. Must be able to safely operate all machines marketed by the dealership. Must conduct themselves in the presence of customers in a manner that promotes a positive image of the company. Perform preventive maintenance on all models of equipment supported by the dealership. Salary is based upon your level of experience, 3+ years required preferrable with John Deere equipment.

salary: $60,000 - $85,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment according to technical manuals in a timely manner.

• Document machine information and repairs completed on work orders including parts and fluids

• Maintain a clean work area, as well as care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment

• Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment serviced by the dealership

• Safely operate all machines marketed by the dealership

• Assist other service technicians as required by the Service Manager

• Maintain positive and professional working relationships with coworkers, management, and vendors with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service

• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner

• Follow all safety rules and regulations and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and the employee handbook

• Participate in all company driven communication efforts including department meetings, electronic communications (email and text) and other related efforts

• Proactively seek and participate in available company sponsored training to develop skills and knowledge

• Maintain prompt and regular attendance according to department and company policies

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
