Aircraft Structural Assembly

Job Description

• We are seeking Aircraft Assembly Structures Mechanics to support various production areas across different airplane programs.

• This role involves working in a manufacturing assembly environment, utilizing training and certification knowledge to complete assigned tasks.

• Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, reading work instructions, and identifying necessary tools, parts, and equipment to ensure defect-free work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install major aircraft components, including fuselage sections, wings, and tail assemblies, ensuring precise alignment and secure attachment.

• Conduct detailed inspections and quality checks on assembled parts to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.

• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve assembly issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, aviation and/or fabrication.

• Completion of a degree or certification from a trade school and/or A&P license.

• Relevant Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) include Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics, Aviation Structural Mechanic, Aircraft Structural Maintenance, and Aviation Maintenance Technician.

Work Environment

• Large teams and need to be open to working 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts.

• Typical shift times vary.

• The work involves using various hand tools, measuring tools, power tools, and assembly tools.

• Work includes physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, and working in confined spaces.

• Appropriate protective clothing/equipment must be worn as determined by the task.

Job Type & Location

• This is a Contract position based out of NORTH CHARLESTON, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Jacksonville,FL.
