Aircraft Structural Assembly
Job Description
We are seeking Aircraft Assembly Structures Mechanics to support various production areas across different airplane programs.
This role involves working in a manufacturing assembly environment, utilizing training and certification knowledge to complete assigned tasks.
Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, reading work instructions, and identifying necessary tools, parts, and equipment to ensure defect-free work.
Responsibilities
Assemble and install major aircraft components, including fuselage sections, wings, and tail assemblies, ensuring precise alignment and secure attachment.
Conduct detailed inspections and quality checks on assembled parts to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve assembly issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
5-7+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, aviation and/or fabrication.
Completion of a degree or certification from a trade school and/or A&P license.
Relevant Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) include Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics, Aviation Structural Mechanic, Aircraft Structural Maintenance, and Aviation Maintenance Technician.
Work Environment
Large teams and need to be open to working 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts.
Typical shift times vary.
The work involves using various hand tools, measuring tools, power tools, and assembly tools.
Work includes physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, and working in confined spaces.
Appropriate protective clothing/equipment must be worn as determined by the task.

- This is a Contract position based out of NORTH CHARLESTON, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Jacksonville,FL.
