Our esteemed client is looking for a Accountant to join their team. Do you have experience in GL accounting work? Are you knowledgeable in full charge bookkeeper duties? You can use both of those skills in this position for a valued client of ours in a brand-new facility in south Jacksonville. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with great benefits, compensation, and career advancement opportunities upon going permanent. Training is hands-on, in-office and comprehensive. (Seeking over 2 yrs and under 5 years of experience) 100% in office

salary: $60,000 - $69,999.99 per year

Responsibilities

Client job description

• Ability to manipulate big Excel spreadsheets accurately

• Accuracy in data entering

• Attention to detail is a must

• Great Plains experience desired

• Ability to multi-task

• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures

• Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software

Job Duties include and are not limited to:

• Maintaining files

• Assisting in the credit requests' process

• Pulling paid documents

• Reviewing of GL accounts' coding

• Reviewing A/P batches for accuracy and proper coding

• Reviewing and identifying errors in recaps on short paid invoices

• Alphabetize and file open A/R

• Alphabetize and file paid A/R

• Alphabetize and file open A/P

• File closed A/P per check run

• Update Excel logs

• Match freight invoices to open PO's

• Research A/P invoices without PO packets

• Process printed/signed checks and assist in mailing as needed

• Other Accounting support to the department

Requirements:

• Preferably knowledge of Great Plains Software

• Proven accounting experience

• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures

• Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software

• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred (Over 2 yrs and under 5 yrs exp preferred)
