MAT Industries, LLC in Jackson TN has an immediate opening for an Engineering Technician that meets the following minimum requirements. MAT Industries, LLC is located on 213 Industrial Drive, Jackson TN 38301.

Job Description:

  • This individual will work closely with the Engineering group. Their daily tasks will include building, testing, maintaining, evaluating, and reporting test results to the Engineering group. This person will also assist with determining new testing procedures for qualifying key components.

     

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work safe manner and follow all MAT safety procedures.

  • Knowledge of both induction and brush type electric motors.

  • Knowledge of electrical wiring.

  • Good mechanical aptitude with strong ability to troubleshoot.

  • The ability to fabricate fixtures and test jigs when required.

  • Must have a background in manufacturing with the ability to identify potential assembly issues on new products and revisions.

  • Must be detail-oriented, able to discern small changes in product performance, and document the nature of those changes.

  • Must be self-motivated and capable of completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Must have exceptional organizational and communication skills including the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.

  • Must be familiar with all Microsoft office tools.

  • Associates Degree /Technical Certificate related to the Engineering field a plus.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use simple gauges.
