Oracle Resource Manager in Jackson, Mississippi
Job Description
Build positive relationships with our delivery leaders and team members
Run weekly staffing meetings to facilitate resourcing decisions while solving staffing related problems and resolving team member conflicts and competing priorities
Monitor sales opportunity pipeline projects to anticipate upcoming projects and future resource needs
Discuss active projects and potential new business with delivery leadership on a regular basis to understand resource demand and impact to staffing
Actively track and manage assigned open roles in PSRS, active requisitions and contractor needs associated with assigned delivery teams
Create resource assignments in collaboration with Delivery Leads and Project Managers
Drive the accuracy of resource management analytics and generate resource management reports as needed.
Help drive the management and optimization of resource utilization attainment
Assist with continuous improvement efforts associated with staffing processes and approach
Support time management initiatives to ensure projects accurately reflect resources actual worked and forecasted hours

Responsibilities
Partners with and Influences consulting management teams to present available internal resources to project assignment opportunities, achieving the highest utilization attainment possible, and increase customer satisfaction. Responsible for the tracking, management, and communication of detailed resource specifications for assigned delivery teams. Proactively identifies resources, using a variety of methods, systems and tools. Coach management on best practices related to open resource requirements. Escalate urgent requests on priority staffing calls. Confirm assignment end dates by proactively inquiring on extension opportunities. Has detailed knowledge of assigned consultants skill levels, experience, and staffing preferences. Actively monitor the selection/acceptance process for assigned resources. Offer creative solutions when no resources with necessary skill sets are available. Recommend creative ways to utilize unassigned consultants. Identifies and drives resolution to resourcing challenges, obstacles, conflicts, and political issues. Update system with resource selection decision and supporting reason. Consolidates and provides overall practice reports and support ad hoc resourcing reporting. Coach assigned management and representatives on resourcing roles and responsibilities, processes, policies, and rules of engagement.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Ability to influence. Demonstrates broad and deep knowledge of consulting skill sets across all supported Oracle product lines and service lines. Presentation skills. Eight years of resource management or related experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience needed.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
