Community Health Systems CT Technologist in JACKSON, Mississippi

Description

Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures and addresses patient concerns. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures. Performs ultrasound examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The schedule is 7 on/7 off Night Shift .

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree and completion of radiologic technology training.

  • A.R.R.T. registration.

  • and 3-5 years of experience.

  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

  • C-AHA BLS Basic Cardiac

  • C-ARRT Radiography Cert

  • L-MS-Med Rad Tech

Preferred

  • C-ARRT CT Comp Tomograph

Experience

Preferred

  • One (1) year of clinical CT and/or Radiation Technology experience in an acute care setting
