Air Filtration Maintenance Technician - Facilities Services
Job Summary:
To inspect and maintain the ventilating and air conditioning systems of UMMC medical center. To inspect system components on a recurring basis and document work procedures.
Education & Experience
Two years of related experience.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration required: Valid Driver's License required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of filtration methods. Basic verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
Responsibilities
- Cleans and maintains HVAC components such as filters, fans, coils, ducts, minor electrical components, grills, and motors.
- Complies with applicable standards, policies, and procedures to include safety procedures.
- Coordinates with supervisor to maintain inventory levels and equipment needs.
- Documents work procedures and completes required reports.
- Reports any HVAC related problems to supervisor.
- Provides assistance to other shop employees as needed.
