Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the Wholesale Distribution industry, based in Jackson, Michigan. The role is for a Staff Accountant who will primarily be responsible for Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the processing of customer credit applications in an accurate and efficient manner.

• Maintain precise customer credit records.

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments.

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations.

• Maintain the general ledger and journal entries.

• Ensure month-end close procedures are carried out accurately and timely.

• Utilize financial software tools such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required

• Proven experience working as a Staff Accountant or similar role

• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience with bank reconciliations, general ledgers, and journal entries

• Ability to handle Month End Close procedures efficiently

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
