Henry Ford Health System Radiation Therapist - Full Time - Days in Jackson, Michigan

The Radiation Therapist provides the highest quality conformal three-dimensional and special treatment delivery utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach to meet adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients’ physical and psychosocial needs.

Provides quality care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, while performing therapeutic and diagnostic imaging through patient education, appropriate skill, and knowledge. Demonstrates ability to perform equipment manipulation and function for the purpose of producing quality diagnostic images. Maintains documents and collects accurate patient information for imaging, treatment chart Electronic Medical Record, schedule, billing and management of patient care. Recognizes differences in care and treatment of adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.

Experience/Education Required:

Bachelor’s in Radiation Therapy

Required Licenses/Certifications:

Registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Oncology.

If Registry Eligible, exam must be taken at first available date after hire. Up to three consecutive attempts for passing written exam will be granted (from date of hire). Success in achieving registration within three attempts.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Effective verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as ability to problem-solve.

Proficiency and experience with various computer systems and equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Oncology
