BorgWarner Inc. Indirect Purchasing in Izmir, Turkey
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a dynamic, results-driven person to join as Indirect Buyer at our Manufacturing Plant in Izmir.
Collaborate with the Plant GSM Director /Purchas in g Supervisor and other key plant functional areas to negotiate prices , contracts , services and supply conditions that establish long-term contracts def in in g the rights and obligations of BorgWarner and suppliers .
Support cost reduction projects . Identify the most competitive and appropriate source of supply for the product or service.
Identify in novative procurement methods and guarantee purchas in g conditions , protection and risk mitigation .
Identify the most suitable strategic suppliers for the service or equipment needed to support operations .
Analys in g market forecasts and trends affect in g the area . Ma in ta in up-to-date knowledge of regional and global economic conditions and contracts affect in g the commodities and services for which they are responsible .
Hold supplier contract review meet in gs with the support of the technical and operations support departments .
Manag in g suppliers to identify new solutions - strategic partnerships .
Create contracts and orders and monitor process in g to ensure that delivery times for materials and equipment are met .
With the support of the other departments , ensure that the quality and delivery time of materials , equipment and services meet the technical specifications , specifications and expectations of in ternal customers .
Comply with environmental , occupational health and safety , quality and productivity standards.
Comply with the organisation's rules and in ternal regulations : Code of Ethics , practice and timetable .
Respect the rules of safety and cleanl in ess of the workplace .
Respect and comply with the rules of the Environmental Management Policy , Health and Safety at Work .
Actively participate in the cont in uous improvement of the Environmental, Health and Safety at Work Management Policy.
Education & Experience
M in . Bachelor’s Degree in related discipl in e or equivalent experience preferred .
+3 years of experience in related field
Fluent English and Turkish language (m in . B2)
Organizational skills in clud in g the ability to prioritize , handle multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in analys in g contracts and conditions
Experience in the SAP purchas in g module ( preferred ).
Proficient with Microsoft office products — Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPo in t
