Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) Sector has an opening for a Tool Crib Attendant 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting Iuka, MS.

The Tool Crib Attendant 3 will be a part of the Tool & Material Process Group and will support tooling needs for aircraft manufacturing including: Composite layup, cure, machining, assembly, metallic assembly, and subsystems.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a detailed oriented and have a strong work ethic. He / She will be able to learn and follow established processes, procedures, and requirements, must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, and be experienced using digital scanners for tool control. *The individuals selected will work the First Shift from 6a-4:30pm Monday - Thursday on a 4/10 schedule.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Receive, store and issue tools, machine fixtures, dies, and measuring devices.

  • Maintain records of tools used by employees.

  • Take periodic inventory and requisition stock.

  • Report damaged, worn-out, or missing equipment using computers to enter transactions.

  • Validate information and maintain database.

  • Clean, oils, and performs minor repairs on equipment.

  • Dispose of surplus or obsolete equipment according to procedures.

  • Ensure the measuring devices are calibrated periodically.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years experience in a tool crib, inventory control, maintenance, or manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to complete data entry tasks.

  • Experience working with power hand tools.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and be able to work standing up for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to use/hold/manipulate small tools and parts with hands. Simple grasping, power grasping and fine manipulation is required.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

  • Forklift certified or experience using forklifts.

  • Knowledge of SAP, CribMaster and/or similar tool control software systems.

  • Knowledge of calibrated tools and processes.

  • Ability to work within MS applications i.e., MS Word, and Excel.

  • Ability to use vibrating tools and perform torquing operations to include hand tools & power equipment and climb ladders or stairs.

  • May be required at some point in time to pass fit program

Salary Range: $43,400 - $72,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
