Hotel Maintenance <br> SUMMARY: Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure of the hotel in good repair to include guestrooms, meeting space, and all other areas of the hotel. <p>

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: <ul> <li>Ensures observance of safety precautions. <li>Performs inspection and reports discrepancies. <li>Maintains pressure boilers, electrical equipment, lifting and power distribution. <li>Performs minor fans and air-conditioning repairs. <li>Performs minor electrical and mechanical repairs to equipment throughout the hotel. <li>Performs rough carpentry work, drywall and painting repairs. <li>Performs routine plumbing repairs, including installation of toilet, sinks, and other hardware & fixtures, and laundry/kitchen equipment. <li>Updates engineering log during assigned shift. <li>Assists Chief Engineer in administration of an on-going preventive maintenance program for equipment and guest rooms. <li>Assists in administration of special franchise maintenance programs. Reviews maintenance problems, complaints and work orders to prioritize and schedule work assignments. <li>Coordinating with local health, safety, fire, and building inspectors to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. <li>Performs preventive maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis as per brand specific standards. <li>Services the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters. <li>Completes maintenance logs and follows the tracking system. <li>Maintains the building exterior if not serviced by a contractor (i.e., snow removal, lawn care, painting). <li>Maintain pool as per Brand, Baywood and County requirements. <il>Additional duties may be added at any time at the discretion of management. </ul>

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS <br> Educational/Vocational Preparation: <ul> <li>High school graduate or equivalent preferred; Technical school training in maintenance and related field preferred. <li>Previous hotel experience preferred; however, ability gained through 2+ years related employment (customer service) or on-the-job training may substitute for actual Front Desk experience. </ul>

Essential Skills: <ul> <li>Ability to read and understand and communicate chemical labels, and Safety Data Sheets, Instructions. <li>Ability to gain knowledge of applicable franchise standards and procedures. <li>Ability to complete applicable maintenance forms and to communicate any problems and/or unusual conditions to management <li>Ability to read and comprehend manuals <li>Ability to positively communicate with guests and co-workers. <li>Ability to work within scheduling guidelines. <li>Ability in carpentry, routine plumbing, minor electrical work, minor mechanical repairs and safety precautions. <li>Ability to work with minimal or no supervision. </ul>
