Basics: 25 hours per week, generally shifts range from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday through Friday (no weekends or evenings), part time, non-exempt $18.45 per hour. <p>
What you will do: <ul> <li>Be a part of the Foodnets kitchen production and meal delivery operations with a varied work schedule split between meal delivery and food preparation duties in the kitchen. <li>Assist the Foodnet Kitchen Operations team with food preparation in support of Foodnets meal preparation and packaging. This included future/frozen meal prep, portioning and packaging of sandwich and weekend/holiday meal preparation. <li>Deliver meals to client homes following an assigned route three days per week and to fill driving schedule as needed. <li>Become an active member of the Foodnet team committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace that strengthens our organization and enhances our ability to adapt to change. <li>Work for an organization that believes in providing a living wage. <li>Benefit from a generous PTO and holiday schedule, Employee Assistance Program </ul>
What you will need: <ul> <li>A desire to ensure the food security of older people living in Tompkins County. <li>The leadership ability to function effectively in the role. A high school diploma/equivalent is preferred. <li>Reliable transportation and valid current NYS drivers license required. Three years of a good safety record is preferred. <li>A sense of humor, fun-loving spirit, and the desire to see good in others. <li>Experience in food services and production is a plus. <li>Experience working with older adults, individuals living with disabilities, and diverse populations is welcome. </ul>
