Adecco US, Inc. Material Handler in Itasca, Illinois
This individual will work closely with the team lead of that department as his assistant. Heavy lifting/pushing-pulling is required. Sit down forklift experience would be nice to have but not required. Computer skills are required as this individual will be entering/printing label tags for finished goods. English is required; (bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Locate and retrieve products needed such as material, components, boxes, totes, etc.…
•
Follow up on unfinished product and completion timeframes
•
Stage material by un-banding, loading, and transporting coils
•
Assist with keeping the department clean and free of excess debris, including storage racks and returning un-used material
•
Operate equipment properly in accordance to the policies. Report any broken or damaged equipment to Team Leaders and or Group Leaders.
•
Deliver dies to the tool room and/or to the die storage when needed.
•
Coordinate any necessary paperwork before moving any material from the press room.
•
Understand & follow company Safety policies and use of proper PPE.
•
Follow company Quality policy, procedures, and proper documentation process.
•
Practice good housekeeping based on 5S principles.
•
Other duties or projects as assigned.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
•
Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a manufacturing setting.
•
Ability to read prints.
•
Ability to prepare and run complex bend setups and forming operations.
•
Must be able to multitask and exercise good problem-solving skills
Pay Details: $17.00 per hour
