UL, LLC Client Services Manager, Textiles (1 year fixed-term contract) in Istanbul, Turkey

Our textiles laboratory in Istanbul, Turkey works with a number of very high profile global manufacturers, testing softline products - typically fabric and garment samples, but also shoes, toys & accessories (chemical, physical, colourfastness tests) and they are now seeking a Client Services Manager for a 1 year fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover)

The Client Services Manager oversees the customer service team, who liaises with the customer on testing programmes and is responsible for supporting the customer with issues and queries as they arise (in-person, over email and on the phone)

Primarily, your main area of responsibility is to organise the daily workflow of the customer service team (4 direct reports) and ensuring that the team efficiently create test plans and update/maintain the project tracking list. The Client Services Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that the team are creating, checking, and sending the test reports to customers on time / deadline.

  • Coordinates the activities of customer service supervisors to enhance communication, eliminate redundant efforts and to view opportunities to consolidate client services.

  • Organizes and coordinate client account work in a timely and profitable manner.

  • Prepares client proposals, report, specifications, technical information, etc.

  • Provides technical consulting services to clients.

  • Follows up on inquiry calls; respond to specific client inquiries promptly and professionally.

  • Participates in trade shows and technical conferences.

  • Works with business support to bill clients in a timely, concise and profitable manner.

  • Provides technical support to in house employees as required.

  • Maintains up to date knowledge of regulations and product expertise and utilize that knowledge to develop new business with clients.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of the location's departmental budget.

  • Manages the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback and guidance and ensuring all policies are understood and adhered to.

  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

  • Performs other duties as directed.

  • University degree (Equivalent to a Bachelors Degree) in a related discipline plus directly related experience with management/supervisory background required.

  • Knowledge of the textiles industry. You should understand about production environments and production scheduling.

  • Familiarity with government agencies and regulations as they apply.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a Client Services team.

  • Ability to manage a client services team interfacing with operations staff in UL's entire service portfolio.

  • Ability to solicit feedback and create buy-in on future customer service initiatives.

  • Ability to motivate others in support of customer service initiatives.

  • Ability to serve as liaison between sales, marketing, client services and operations fulfillment functions by applying knowledge of UL services, policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to keep multiple projects on schedule.

  • Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use company databases.

  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully interface with customers of all levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and implement department budget.

  • Ability to communicate CS programs and initiatives to other areas of the organization.

  • English language skills to intermediate level are required, as some customers will speak in English
