What You’ll Do
We’re hiring an engineer with experience in a broad range of software and systems skills, including Managed Services, IT, Database, and Testing Management. Your main responsibilities will include software development, maintenance, support, and quality assurance.
Education / Experience Requirements:
5+ years of Service Architecture, Engineering, DevOps, and Automation of large-scale enterprise systems on both on-premises and in Cloud environments.
Strong understanding of ITIL processes, enterprise services management, systems, architecture, and processes needed to develop solutions and design approaches.
Good knowledge of web technologies like JavaScript, HTML, REST API, Angular, SaaS, virtualization, CI/CD, and DevOps.
Experience in using scripting languages to create integrations and end-to-end solutions.
Demonstrated willingness to learn new architecture, services, technologies, and tools and proven ability to quickly ramp-up, and a proven record of applying these newly learned skills to create solutions.
Must create and maintain professional-grade architecture artifacts to include system designs and operations documentation suitable for enterprise and Stakeholder review.
Possess persuasive communication and collaboration skills needed to gain team consensus (to include Stakeholder expectation management skills).
Strong understanding of, or experience with, software coding and customization on ServiceNow including, but not limited to; screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third-party software integrations, and custom application development.
Must have excellent problem-solving, project planning, and delivery execution skills.
Able to operate in a fast-paced, uniquely innovative, and challenging environment with a focus on architecture, automation, modernization, and solution design.
Proven ability to take ownership and delivery of architecture design projects in a results-oriented, enterprise-wide work environment.
What You’ll Bring
Ownership of key, forward-looking automation and modernization projects supporting enterprise goals and improving the customer experience.
Identify key considerations and capabilities for automation and modernization requirements and create designs resulting in solution delivery.
Research and document requirements needed to develop designs within “as-a-Service" models and other existing architecture, creating innovative automated solutions.
Support and guide development teams as they implement developed architecture and deliver end-to-end solutions.
Document architecture approaches and solutions (flow charts, layouts, diagrams, charts, testing, etc.) suitable for Stakeholder and development teams.
Collaborate with the Architecture Team on the proposed solutions and approaches.
Define and implement the best possible solutions within current systems and environments.
Support development teams through all lifecycles of development as it pertains to the architecture, approach, and design of the developed architecture.
Integrate ServiceNow with leading Resolution AI platforms such as Ascendo Resolve AI to leverage AI capabilities for accelerating time to resolution and improving other important support metrics.
Develop and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of support personnel by providing recommendations based on case data and historical resolutions.
Technical Skills:
Maintain an up-to-date ITIL and other relevant certifications.
Working knowledge of enterprise services, integration technologies, data management, security process (Thycotic Secret Server a plus), testing approaches, ITIL SaaS (e.g., ServiceNow), and virtualization technologies.
Highly proficient in MS Office tools.
Scripting or coding experience in multiple tools or technologies.
SDLC management or System Engineering Process experience.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a strongly related field.
10+ years of experience in an IT role.
5+ years of project requirements, design, delivery, and testing experience.
5+ years demonstrated experience with Customer and Stakeholder communications.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Master’s degree in computer science.
Professional consulting experience with customers or clients.
Strong working knowledge of the ServiceNow design and Integration Hub.
Test Organization management experience.
