Job Title: Accounting Operations Assistant

Location: Ishpeming, MI

Pay: $20.00 to $24.00 per Hour

What’s the Job?

• Back-office bookkeeping and processing.

• ACH/draft posting and returns.

• ATM/debit and credit card ordering, card maintenance and dispute processing.

• Reconciling general ledger accounts.

• Provide debit and credit card support including ordering cards, updating card information, processing card transaction exceptions and adjustments, assist members with card issues and disputes of fraudulent activity.

• Provide excellent service to customers mainly via telephone.

What’s Needed?

• Temporary to permanent position for the right person.

• M-F 9AM-5PM or 8AM-4PM.

• Ability to pass a background check and credit check.

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting with 6 months of accounting/bookkeeping related experience OR High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping related experience.

• Preferred: Experience in a financial institution, post high school education or training

• Strong knowledge of general ledger bookkeeping practices.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Attention to detail to perform a variety of tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

• Strong sense of personal integrity with the ability to communicate and work as a part of a larger team.
