Summary
The Payroll Specialist is a member of the US Shared Services Payroll team. In this role, the Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate processing and recording of Company's payroll, provide timely and accurate information and participate in daily data entry and maintenance of payroll processing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily payroll department operations.
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Perform routine & exception Payroll Entries/Adjustments.
  • Perform timesheet auditing.
  • Perform audit of all master data changes applicable to the payroll processing.
  • Audit and balance payroll input data prior to transmission.
  • Perform additional post payroll audit.
  • Transmit payroll within advised deadline each period.
  • Provide Finance with applicable output reports after each payroll processing.
  • Calculate off cycle gross to net and process payment requests as needed.
  • Research & resolve employee pay/policy/tax related inquiries.
  • Coordinate, participate in or independently conduct Time Management Trainings.
  • Participate in New Hire Orientation presentations.
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting.
  • Prepare ad hoc payroll reports as needed.
  • Partner closely with HR, Benefits and Finance personnel.
  • Participate in implementing improvements and efficiencies to workflows and processes.
  • Additional special assignments when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and ADP Reporting
  • Working knowledge of Time & Attendance setup and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

For this position, the expected base pay is: $62,500 - $84,500 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
