Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the automotive industry, located in Irving, Texas. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for analyzing underwriting and operating related data, preparing journal entries, assisting in the preparation of GAAP and Statutory reporting, and providing supporting documentation for audits and state examinations.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze underwriting and operating related data for accuracy

• Prepare journal entries to record monthly or quarterly activity

• Reconcile and analyze various balance sheet accounts

• Assist in the preparation of GAAP and Statutory reporting for quarterly and annual filings

• Assist in the preparation of the state premium tax returns and state supplemental filings

• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed

• Provide supporting documentation for audits

• Provide supporting documentation for state examinations

• Handle complex calculations

• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, solid accounting principles knowledge (both GAAP and Statutory), documentation skills, research and resolution skills, and multi-tasking skills

• Work independently and with a team in a dynamic environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

• SAP Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Proven experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries.

• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software.

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or related field.

• Proven experience in a senior accounting role within the Automotive industry.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
