Description Robert Half is looking for a talented Senior Accountant for a permanent opportunity. Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities
Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Prepare reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts
Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Complete other projects as required
Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Implement monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests Requirements - Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
Skills in financial reporting is crucial to this role
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers
Bank reconciliations experience preferred
Adeptness in Balance Sheet Account
General ledger experience highly preferred
Background working with Ledger Account Reconciliation
Previous experience working with Microsoft Excel
Balance sheets experience
Practical knowledge of Ledger Journal Entries
Microsoft Excel experience highly valued
Good understanding of Excel Formulas
Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Deep understanding of Bank Account Reconciliation
General familiarity with Ledger Entries
Demonstrated knowledge of Ledger Close
Account reconciliation experience desired
Earlier work involving Ledger Account Analysis
Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
