ManpowerGroup SQL DBA Support Engineer in Irving, Texas

Are you a seasoned DBA with a passion for problem-solving and providing top-notch technical support? We are looking for a DBA Support Engineer to join our dynamic team and help us deliver exceptional service to our clients. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Location: Las Colinas, Fargo, Charlotte, or Redmond (100% Onsite)

Contract Duration: 18 months

Pay Rate: $32-$35 per hour

About the Role:

As a DBA Support Engineer, you will be the go-to expert for resolving computer software and hardware issues for our clients. Your day-to-day will involve handling reactive support tickets and working closely with both engineering and customer support teams to ensure smooth operations and quick resolutions.

Typical Day in the Role:

  • Team Purpose: Support engineering and customer support through reactive ticketing.

  • Key Projects: Resolve incident-based support tickets submitted by customers.

  • Task Breakdown: 90% ticketing support, 10% ad hoc tasks and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address user inquiries regarding software or hardware operations to resolve problems.

  • Install software or perform remote hardware testing as needed.

  • Monitor system functioning and detect errors.

  • Maintain detailed records of daily communication transactions and remedial actions.

  • Use technical manuals and diagnostic tools to investigate and resolve issues.

Qualifications:

  • SQL Expertise: Minimum 3 years of experience.

  • Windows Experience: Minimum 3 years.

  • Azure Experience: Minimum 1 year.

  • 3+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience across multiple versions.

  • Proficiency in SQL Management Studio, Enterprise Manager, and Query Analyzer.

  • Experience with database backup, restore, and recovery.

  • Expertise in high availability and disaster recovery solutions like replication, log shipping, mirroring, and clustering.

  • Strong skills in SQL query tuning and performance optimization.

  • Excellent customer management and communication skills.

  • Logical, critical thinking, and deep technical troubleshooting skills.
