Wells Fargo Senior Derivatives Valuation Controller in IRVING, Texas

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Capital Markets Pricing Validation Consultant to join the Independent Pricing Validation (IPV) team as a fixed income securities pricing analyst (Residential/Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities).

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives, and delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting, and contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics

  • Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models.

  • Be responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governance.

  • Resolve data, production, business modeling, and lead team to meet Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements.

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals.

  • Lead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced staff.

  • Partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with structured products.

  • Product control experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher – preferably in a quantitative discipline, or business-related field

  • Experience in trading, valuing or price validating capital market instruments.

  • Highly organized and proactive; should be able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and deal with multiple priorities.

  • The ability to effectively manage multiple assignments with challenging timelines.

  • Excellent communication skills: ability to clearly communicate with business partners, peers, and senior management.

  • Strong conceptual and quantitative problem-solving skills; ability to provide credible challenge.

  • Detail-oriented and flexible.

  • Dedicated, enthusiastic, self-driven and performance-oriented; possess a strong work ethic.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
