Position Overview:
The primary function of the Routing Specialist is to manage driver route assignments to ensure the company fleet is effectively routed to achieve company standards and to meet customers needs and expectations.
Compensation: $60k to 65k
Location: 7651 Esters Blvd, Suite 200, Irving, TX (requires daily presence at office)
Essential Functions:
- Support the LES safety culture through planning safe routes to customer sites in accordance with DOT rules and regulations
- Analyze and develop routing plans to affectively meet daily goals.
- Strong focus on meeting customer expectations through routing on time services
- Minimize cost of fleet assets through effective use of logistical software to plan and execute daily routing needs
- Ability to work in coordination with Branch Operations Managers to effectively manage fleet assets
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
- Works within the Departments expense budget, within budgetary guidelines to contribute to cost-effective operation of the Company
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, vendors and others in a courteous and professional manner
- Coordinates with other Liquid Environmental Solutions departments
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree or equivalent (Preferred).
- Two to three (2-3) years of experience in the field or in a related area (Preferred).
- Experience with Logistics Software (Required).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Dynamic routing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and understand when to escalate potential issues
- Excellent judgement and decision making skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
