Robert Half QA Engineer / Analyst in Irving, Texas

Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a QA Engineer / Analyst to join our team in Irving, TX. This role will focus on testing web and mobile applications, ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will work in a scrum team environment and contribute to both functional and performance testing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements.

  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing across web and mobile applications.

  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential edge cases.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and user stories.

  • Track, report, and prioritize software defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.

  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to provide test feedback and identify risks.

  • Validate user interfaces for usability, functionality, and adherence to design standards.

  • Contribute to test automation efforts to improve efficiency.

    Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Experience testing web and mobile applications

  • SQL proficiency for querying databases

  • API testing experience

  • Performance testing knowledge

Preferred Skills:

  • Automation testing for web and mobile applications

  • API test automation

  • Experience with Selenium, Appium, or Playwright

  • Familiarity with jMeter and Azure Load resources

Soft Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in an agile, collaborative team environment

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

  • 5+ years of experience in QA testing
