The Workflow Analytics and Strategy team supports the 9000+ CVS Retail Pharmacy locations and its 100K Pharmacists, Technicians, Field leaders. It strives to maintain industry-leading prescription fulfillment processes and tools in our CVS Pharmacies across the country, while bringing reliable and impactful performance reporting resources in service of driving unparalleled service for our patients. This position requires you to work on complex analytics that will inform critical decisions affecting the retail pharmacy business and work with cross-functional teams across the enterprise to share findings, KPI’s, business results, etc.—and translate them into actionable areas of opportunity. This role will require management of multiple analyses and reporting suites and be accountable for delivering quality results—as well as to be able to present these results with urgency to senior leadership in the organization. Responsibilities:

Workflow Analytics and Opportunity Identification (40%)

  • Develop new, maintain, & fine tune predictive algorithms/evaluate predictive ability to address complex business use cases and leverage python solution development for query & automation

  • Evaluate all existing data inputs and qualitative information to design thoughtful and comprehensive queries aimed at understanding current performance and driving continuous improvement

  • Commit to learning agenda aimed at developing a deep understanding of the business by spending dedicated time in stores, listening/responding to frontline colleague feedback, proactively meeting with business partners, and maintaining a growth-mindset to identify new areas of opportunity

Data Translation and Business Case Development (20%)

  • Understand Business question / use case and translate it to data needs. Extract relevant data to support the analysis

  • Distill complex analytics into actionable insights that can be consumed and understood by multiple audiences with varying degrees of background/context

  • Build thoughtful business cases/recommendations which help influence stakeholders and leaders to action

Creation/Maintenance of Data Visualization Tools (20%)

  • Building and maintainenance of dashboards that are used by Retail Pharmacy field leaders and internal stakeholders

  • Identify new views based on stakeholder feedback while refining existing views that align to current business/workflow priorities

  • Assess various data visualization tools/platforms to channel-optimize and ensure on-demand intelligence tools are accessible, intuitive, and relevant

Support/Lead Ad-Hoc Analytics Requests (20%)

  • Engage cross functional teams to help support new business cases, drive results, solve issues, and align on analytical findings

  • Accept new data inquiries and ask the right questions en route to understanding what is needed and how to best answer the business challenge

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of retail business operations, including Pharmacy

  • Experience in synthesizing data analytics to create meaningful business insights

  • 5+ years experience building strategies

  • 5+ years of full-time work experience in a retail and/or corporate environment

  • 5+ years experience influencing without authority

  • Demonstrated growth mindset and willingness to learn and accept feedback

  • Proven track record of high performance

  • 3+ years experience using SQL or similar methods to access, extract, manipulate and summarize data in Teradata , Snowflake

  • 2+ years extensive hands-on experience using Python Data Frames, Pandas, Numpy, Scikit

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis constructing analytical solutions to business problems

  • 2+ experience communicating complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences via both written and oral communication.

  • 1+ experience building Power BI or Tableau dashboards to reflect business analytic needs

  • Expertise leveraging MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and Powerpoint capabilities

  • Regular and reliable attendance during normal working hours, as established by the leader

  • Any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager

  • Collaborate cross functionally with leaders and colleagues’ enterprise wide to solution, implement, and drive results

  • Plan and execute short- and long-term goals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience using SQL or similar methods to access, extract, manipulate and summarize data in Teradata , Snowflake

  • 4+ years extensive hands-on experience using Python Data Frames, Pandas, Numpy, Scikit

  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis constructing analytical solutions to business problems

  • 4+ experience communicating complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences via both written and oral communication.

  • 3+ experience building Power BI or Tableau dashboards to reflect business analytic needs

  • Experience directly leading others and building a high-performing team a plus

  • Masters degree

Education:

Bachelor's or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $159,120.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
