Job Summary:
Join the Cat Foresight team of Cat Digital as the Lead Product Owner responsible for the Cat Foresight Planned Maintenance product. The Cat Foresight PM product supports dealers in planning maintenance and repair services.
Cat Foresight is digital product tool suite of operational technologies focused enabling lead generation services and fleet/equipment management services
What You Will Do:
Close collaboration and active engagement with digital product and program managers, industry and dealer users providing fleet and equipment management services, application, UI and platform development teams.
Understanding and documenting the business needs and problems
Setting the direction and priorities for the Cat Foresight PM product
Owning and driving the development timeline of Cat Foresight PM product roadmap and features
Driving improvements in Cat Foresight PM product quality, data quality and support
Managing the Cat Foresight PM costs and budget with development teams
Cat Foresight PM product integration, user workflow and experience
Cat Foresight PM product discovery and solutioning with internal and dealer users
User growth and scaling of the Cat Foresight PM product
Transformation of the Cat Foresight PM product using Gen AI
What You Will Have:
This role requires a combination of technical, strategic and interpersonal skills to ensure the product manager can effectively lead development, cater to a global user base and drive business value for the Cat Foresight planned maintenance product.
Effective Communications: Extensive understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Software Product Business Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans and roadmap, and product vision.
Software Change Request Management: Extensive knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Extensive knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Business Analysis: Working knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
Considerations for Top Candidates:
Typically, Bachelors or Masters degree
Experience: digital product owner or digital program management (typically 2-3 year); engaging with Cat dealers to grow aftermarket services
Practical domain expertise: Cat business processes, maintenance planning, dealer service operations and fleet/equipment management
Digital Product Strategy and Roadmap development: Ability to align the digital product vision with business goals and user needs, expertise in prioritizing features that balance long term innovation with immediate user needs
User experience and user centric design: strong understanding of user journeys, pain points and workflows, skills to collaborate with design teams to create an intuitive UI.
Data analysis and metrics driven decision making: Proficiency in analyzing user behavior, engagement and trends, ability to use data to inform product decisions, measure success and identify areas for improvement.
Technical fluency and collaboration: Familiarity with technologies like Gen AI, Snowflake, AWS, AHA, Dev Ops, Cat Foresight products; Concise and clear presentation and communication skills to collaborate effectively with data, application and platform engineering, digital governance, digital marketing, senior leadership, Cat and dealer users
Demonstrated abilities: to convert business problems into business value; to scale and grow usage of a digital product; to work in a highly collaborative team environment; Critical thinking and problem solving
Travel Expectations: 50% globally

Additional Information:
This position is open to fully remote for the right candidates in the United States, but the preferred location is either our Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; Westminster, CO or Irving, TX offices with a flexible hybrid work environment.

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $204,720.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
