Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

The service technician will receive daily work instructions and work orders that will outline their day. Once the work orders are received, the technician will be responsible for preparing trailers and units for delivery, maintaining the units and furniture, loading and unloading furniture onto the units, utilizing hand and power tools to make repairs and service the units, performing basic grounds maintenance, documenting their work throughout the day with high attention to detail, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, reporting issues, and maintaining a safety mindset throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare trailers and units for delivery

  • Maintain units and furniture

  • Load and unload furniture onto the units

  • Utilize hand and power tools to make repairs and service the units

  • Perform basic grounds maintenance

  • Document work throughout the day with high attention to detail

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues

  • Report issues

  • Maintain a safety mindset throughout the day

Essential Skills

  • 1 - 3 years of a construction experience

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Ability to use hand and power tools

  • Ability to read and interpret work orders

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to lift 50lbs Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Steel Toes

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled with 25-35 individuals in production. Steel toes are required. The work involves being in and out of the warehouse and exposed to the elements while loading and unloading trailers. The hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional work on Saturdays. The latest end time would be 5 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, Texas.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00
