Job Summary:
Citi’s Compliance Data and Systems team is looking for an experienced, motivated, and self-driven business analyst to join our team.
The role is part of the Compliance Data and Systems Transformation Group focusing on Citi’s Consent Order work. Our team is responsible for enabling compliance technology solutions for managing compliance risk through the automation of compliance risk assessment, monitoring and testing, production of metrics and visualization dashboards. Our group utilizes the Agile methodology to implement technology solutions to enhance compliance risk reporting with a focus on the creation / enhancement of automated data quality controls. We are the liaisons between business stakeholders and the technology development team fulfilling the role of product owners in translating business requirements into simple feasible solutions.
The ideal candidate will have business analyst experience in financial services or consulting; prior experience working in a compliance or risk-related function is desirable, but not required.
Experience with JIRA and the Agile Software Development lifecycle including writing user stories and participating in user acceptance testing is required. To be successful in this role candidate must possess strong communication skills, an analytical mindset, and strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with cross functional teams to design and build best-in-class systems and tools architecture that enable effective management of compliance risks and analytics-driven insights, leveraging Agile methodology
Create user stories in JIRA, prioritize backlog, oversee user acceptance testing and production acceptance testing
Assess, document, and implement process controls including data quality
Support control owners in implementing controls into business or functional processes
Data management activities (e.g., identification of critical data elements, business rules and data lineage)
Prepare and review documentation for senior management, internal audit, and regulators (e.g., project closure summaries and scoping documents)
Support the remediation of Citi Consent Order gaps by ensuring project work satisfies commitments made to the Federal Reserve Board and Office of the Comptroller of Currency
Qualifications:
5-7 years’ relevant experience in the financial industry or related technology or business analytics role
Experience in technology implementations utilizing Agile Software Methodology
Experience in data governance, background in data quality risk and control design is preferred
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project)
Experience with database or visualization tools a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects at a time
Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive, able to navigate a complex organization
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of seniority
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree a plus
